Losing weight doesnt have to be all gloom and doom. If you don’t want to pump and slave away, and would rather enjoy losing weight, here are some fun and effective ways to whittle your waist!

1. Hula Hooping

This fun game helps you to keep your tummy toned and in shape. And, hula hoops are plentiful and cheap. Go to any child’s store, pick up one up and shoop shoop shoop your way to an hourglass figure.

2. Belly Dance

If you want to get lots of exercise and have a rewarding cultural experience, look no further than belly dancing. The sideways movements help you to tone all the muscles that zip up your core, and all the moving across the floor helps you to burn fat. Genius!

3. Play with a Child or a Pet

Skip, turn cartwheels, jump rope, play tag, and leap around with your more energetic little friends. The fun thing about this is, you’ll get lots of exercise, as well as that quality time you keep kicking yourself about spending with them.

4. Friendly Competition

It’s hard to lose weight when you spend lots of time with someone that has identical bad habits. One of the best ways to get motivated is to work in tandem– challenge them to a toning contest, to see who can be the healthiest! This way, you AND someone you care about are getting great health benefits and looking better.
